What are your post-graduation plans?:
I am going to medical school. I think I am going to Ohio State.
Are you going for your doctoral degree?:
I'm not sure what kind of doctor. I will decide that in the future.
Why did you decide that you wanted to speak at graduation?:
I think the biggest reason was just that I am really happy with the education I have received here at Whitewater and the opportunities I have been given, so I would like to be able to give back in someway and express my gratitude.
What honors/awards/accomplishments have you had during the last four years?:
I've received awards for talking at different events. At the Tri-Beta Regional Award, I received the Robert Brooks award. At NCUR (National Conference on Undergraduate Research), I received the top oral presentation award. I spoke in July at the Joint Botany and Plant Biology Congress, and I received an award from the Botanical Society of America for that presentation. [Monday], I received an award for [being a student leader on campus].
What is your best UW-Whitewater memory?:
I think my best memory from here is when I was able to go talk at the Congress in July. The opportunity came up kind of last minute, and we were stuck in a bind ... The dean's office was really quick to [say] "whatever you need-this is a great opportunity." So I was just really amazed how supportive they were.
