Esker reopens after blast

Hot water still delayed; showers available

Esker Dining Hall is expected to reopen Monday, yet heat and hot water will not be working until at least Thursday, according to a news release from Whitewater's Marketing and Media Relations department. The dates are dependant on the status of current clean-up efforts and could change if any complications result in repairs.

Just after noon Wednesday, the boiler in the campus power plant near Esker Dining Hall exploded. Only one minor injury was reported, University Police Chief Matt Kiederlen said.
