Snow removal was planned poorly
Letters to the editor
Issue date: 2/20/08 Section: Opinion
I am writing this letter in response to the poor planning of snow removal on this campus. As a commuter, the choice made to move on-campus student parking into other lots affected not only my time, but my attendance at class. Upon reaching Whitewater from Janesville at approximately 9:15 a.m., I discovered that every lot was completely full. I, with a group of about 15-20 other cars in front and behind me, drove around from lot to lot in awful traffic for nearly 45 minutes trying to find a single space to park in. Why was this not taken care of over the weekend or at least during a non-peak commuting time? The sole reason I paid $100 is so I didn't have to fight for a parking space in the free parking lots. I am greatly disappointed in the planning of this snow removal.

I agree, also, there seems like there might have been too many commuter passes sold? There is always a fight for space, and even though there are people that try and get away with parking without a pass (which sucks for us commuters who paid for them), there are still dozens of cars following students to their parking spots.
