"There were a lot of outstanding performances. It was very impressive," Head Coach David Wiederrecht said.
North Central College won the invitational with a team score of 169 points.
A trio of top finishes by freshmen competitors paced the 'Hawks' effort inside the Kachel Fieldhouse. Freshman Arie Montgomery won the 55-meter race with a time of 7.48 seconds, while freshman Brooke Bell was the first to cross the line in the 200-meter run, finishing in 25.97 seconds.
Freshman Jessa Luebke rounded out the group's outstanding performances by dominating the shot put event. Luebke, who is ranked No. 11 in Division III in the shot put, took first place with a throw of 43 feet and 1.75 inches.
The final win for the Warhawks came from the distance medley relay team, as the group finished with an astounding time of 14:17.23.
Along with the four victories, freshman Katelyn Britt broke the UW-Whitewater record in the pole vault, clearing the 10-foot, 8.75-inch mark.
"It was definitely a goal of mine to break the record, but mainly my goal is to beat my personal best of 11 feet," Britt said. "We have a new pole vault coach and I've already seen improvement. He's helped out a lot."
Also, senior Jenny Rogers broke her personal record in the 3000-meter run with a time of 10:35.37, a finish that put her in second place.
"If every day we can get a little bit better, we are going to be amazing," Wiedderecht said.
The women's track and field team will host the Warhawk Classic Saturday at noon in the Kachel Fieldhouse.
