Year: Sophomore
Major: Special Education
Hometown: Des Plaines, Ill.
How long have you been wrestling? Since seventh grade.
How does it feel to be ranked No. 4 in the nation as a sophomore? I like being the underdog, so I don't really like having a target on my back.
What is your favorite Warhawk memory? It hasn't happened yet.
What is your goal for this season? I want to be an All-American.
What is your favorite food? Everything, man. I love food.
Do you have any problems making weight? I did my freshman year, but I just work out a lot and that helps.
Who is your idol? I like boxing, [so] one of them is [Filipino professional boxer] Manny Pacquiao.
How do you prepare for a match? I like to talk myself into believing that I'm going to win the match. I'm better than that guy. I work harder than that guy.
Are you an angry or relaxed wrestler? I'm more of the relaxed type. I see things a lot better when I'm calm. I just go crazy when I'm angry.
Do you have a big hobby outside of wrestling? I like to cook. I'm not that good, but I'm starting to get better at it.
Where do you want to be in 10 years? Probably coaching at a high school and teaching special education.
What's one thing about you that most people don't know? I was born in the Philippines.
