The Warhawk women's basketball team beat UW-Stout 83-72 Saturday in Menomonie.
The starting five for the Warhawks scored 67 of the team's 83 points. Junior center Tiffany Morton led the team with 22 points and 15 rebounds. Senior forward Lindsey Buechner and sophomore guard Heidi Sonntag both scored 16 points.
With the victory over UW-Stout, the Warhawks improved to 20-1 overall and 11-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Ranked No.3 in the latest D3hoops.com poll, the 'Hawks increased its current winning streak to six games.
UW-Whitewater next hits the hardwood Wednesday to take on the UW-Platteville Pioneers at 7 p.m. in the Kachel Gymnasium.
