Ever wanted to have the ability to fly? One lucky student will get the next best thing.

In the spirit of the musical "Peter Pan," premiering in March, one student will have the chance to fly backstage in the Young Auditorium on Feb. 23, a few days before the show is set to hit the stage.

With the help of the technical crew, the winning student will get the rare chance to see what it's like to fly like Peter, Wendy and other "Peter Pan" characters. Deb Helgeson, marketing and publicity coordinator for "Peter Pan," said the flying session with Hall Associates Flying Effects will happen in between flying rehearsals.

Hall Associates Flying Effects is a professional flying company that specializes in providing flying effects for more difficult spaces such as low ceilings, no ceilings and small spaces.

To sign up for the chance to fly, students need to purchase a "Peter Pan" ticket before 5 p.m. on Friday. The drawing to determine the winner will be held on Monday. Each student is allowed one entry.

"Peter Pan" is being presented March 1 at 7 p.m. and March 2 at 2 p.m. in the Young Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased over the phone at 262-472-2222, online at tickets.uww.edu, or at the box office Monday-Friday 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
