The key is to know your team's weaknesses and to fill them. You may have a stud at WR but be weak at RB so trading your stud might get you more bang for the buck. Be careful however, because trading for a lame duck will put you in a worse position than you began. With that here are the week 12 picks:
Studs:
Peyton Manning QB, Indianapolis Colts: Manning faces a Falcons team this week that has been plagued with problems. Manning is always a strong start, but look for him to have a great week this week against Atlanta.
Fearless Forecast: 20-28, 310 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT
Terrell Owens WR, Dallas Cowboys: Owens had an amazing week last week and looks to continue that this week versus the Jets. Look for Owens to "feast" on the Jets secondary. I apologize for the Thanksgiving joke but he will have a good week.
Fearless Forecast: 7 catches, 130 yards, 2 TD
Willie Parker RB, Pittsburgh Steelers: Parker faces the winless Dolphins this week and will have no trouble finding the end zone. Parker has been a top fantasy back this season and will live up to that this week.
Fearless Forecast: 24 rushes, 110 yards, 2 TD; 2 catches, 26 yards, 0 TD
Kellen Winslow TE, Cleveland Browns: The Browns face the Texans this week in a battle of the teams on the verge. This is a big game for both teams as they look to make it to the playoffs. Derek Anderson has been extremely solid so far this season and Winslow has benefited.
Fearless Forecast: 10 catches, 112 yards, 1 TD
Jacksonville Jaguars Defense: The Jags face the Bills this week and have been playing extremely good football lately. I see the Jags having a good week defensively against J.P. and company.
Fearless Forecast: 5 sacks, 3 INT, 1 fumble recovery, 14 points allowed
Duds:
Eli Manning QB, New York Giants: Unlike Peyton, Eli is the model of inconsistency. The Vikings have a very solid defense and will cause trouble all day for the Giants offense.
Fearless Forecast: 25-40, 210 yards, 1 TD, 3 INT
Lee Evans WR, Buffalo Bills: Evans is hot one week and not the next. I see this being one of his not weeks. The Jags seem to be on a mission to catch the Colts and will keep it going this week against the Bills.
Fearless Forecast: 4 catches, 50 yards, 0 TD
Laurence Maroney RB, New England Patriots: Maroney has been a letdown this season and although the Pats have been winning his numbers haven't been solid. Its not that the Eagles defense is good as much as the Patriots don't give him the ball.
Fearless Forecast: 12 rushes, 60 yards, 0 TD
Alge Crumpler TE, Atlanta Falcons: The Falcons are bad and with no one to throw him the ball, Crumpler won't produce. That's all there is to it.
Fearless Forecast: 3 catches, 30 yards, 0 TD
Atlanta Falcons Defense: The Colts score points and I believe that they will continue that this week. I don't see why they wouldn't.
Fearless Forecast: 1 sack, 0 INT, 1 fumble recovery, 35 points allowed
Sleepers:
Matt Schaub QB, Houston Texans: With Andre Johnson back, Schaub's numbers instantly increase. With the Browns having the tendency to get into shootouts I think Schaub will have a good week.
Fearless Forecast: 25-35, 260 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT
Santonio Holmes WR, Pittsburgh Steelers: Holmes is the stud of the future. Against the Dolphins I see him having a very solid week. The Dolphins have been weak and the Steelers will bounce back after their upset last week.
Fearless Forecast: 5 catches, 95 yards, 1 TD
Chester Taylor RB, Minnesota Vikings: Taylor filled in well for Adrian Peterson last week. I see him doing the same thing this week against the Giants. He is a good back and will produce this week.
Fearless Forecast: 20 rushes, 105 yards, 1 TD; 3 catches, 35 yards, 1 TD
Donald Lee TE, Green Bay Packers: The Packers have been very good this year and with Bubba Franks out, Lee is the man. I see him having a nice Thanksgiving this week against Detroit.
Fearless Forecast: 5 catches, 85 yards, 1 TD
Arizona Cardinals Defense: The 49ers have been extremely weak on offense and the Cardinals have been surprisingly good. They are a good one week pick up if you need a fill in on defense.
Fearless Forecast: 4 sacks, 2 INT, 2 fumble recoveries, 24 points allowed
