Thee College Democrats will be showing the Michael Moore film "Sicko" at the McGraw Auditorium on Tuesday, Nov. 27 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. to promote awareness of the nation's current medical situation.

The film covers the U.S. health care system from the point of the obstacles people must overcome in order to receive health care coverage. The current state of paying for medicine and medical care is a hot topic among many Americans.

Michael Moore, known for his highly controversial films, has also directed other documentaries including: "Bowling for Columbine," "Fahrenheit 9/11" and "Roger and Me".

After the film, there will be a discussion on health care with state Representative Kim Hixson, D-Whitewater, UW-Whitewater professor Jeff McKinnon and Ruth Swisher, director of health and counseling services. They will answer questions and speak about the topic of health care.

Admission to the event is free.
