Students anxiously waited while name after name was called to audition for a part in the musical, "Peter Pan." Auditions were held in the Center of the Arts Nov. 11 and 12 at 6:30 p.m. They were split between two nights, and students were able to pick which night they wanted to audition on.
The overall audition was a two-step process. Students were first called into a room to perform a monologue of their choice. After introducing themselves to the director in front of them, the students gave it their all with their pick of a song.
The next step of the audition was a group dance routine. Groups were split into eight students in a studio. The choreographer for the show then proceeded to teach the students bits of the performance, which they then had to imitate. Students chosen for a role in the musical will perform in "Peter Pan" in February and March 2008.
