As we move forward I think it's time to look at what has happened thus far in the NFL, and what to expect the rest of the way. In the AFC the Patriots, Colts, and Steelers are for real. The Bengals, Jets, and even Chargers have surprised as well, but not in the way they have intended. The NFC has the Cowboys, Packers, and Lions being the teams in charge. Who would have believed that the Lions and Packers would be fighting for the NFC North?
The teams that continue to disappoint are the Bears, Rams, and Eagles. One thing about fantasy is that even if you have a stud it helps considerably if they are on a good team. Just ask Steven Jackson or Thomas Jones owners how their backs have done. Or on the other side, people who drafted Brett Favre or Ben Roethlisberger and ecstatic right now. So when drafting it is important to consider if the players you want have other good players around him.
With that here are the week 10 picks:
Studs: ?
Ben Roethlisberger QB, Pittsburgh Steelers: Big Ben had a superb game last week against the Ravens and faces a Browns team this week that tends to give up points. Although Ben went down during the game last week he re-entered later on and I think he should be alright for the game against Cleveland.
Fearless Forecast: 20-29, 267 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT
Marques Colston WR, New Orleans Saints: The Saints have begun marching and Colston owners will benefit. The Rams are an embarrassment and I see Marques getting some touches this week.
Fearless Forecast: 9 catches, 112 yards, 2 TD
Adrian Peterson RB, Minnesota Vikings: I know that I am calling this one after the fact but I don't see Peterson having a game where he isn't a stud. What he has done as a rookie is unreal. He already had a big game this year against the Pack and I see a repeat performance out of him.
Fearless Forecast: 25 rushes, 156 yards, 2 TD; 2 catches, 24 yards, 0 TD
Antonio Gates TE, San Diego Chargers: Gates did nothing last week against the Vikings but I see a bounce back against the Colts. This game has the potential to be the fantasy game of the week. Expect some good numbers out of Gates this week.
Fearless Forecast: 6 catches, 109 yards, 1 TD
Chicago Bears Defense: The Bears face the Raiders this week. Neither team has what would be called an explosive offense. I think both teams defenses might be a good start this week. I sure hope this game isn't on TV this week.
Fearless Forecast: 5 sacks, 2 fumble recoveries, 2 INT, 17 points allowed
Duds: ?
Brett Favre QB, Green Bay Packers: Favre has a game every year that makes you just scratch your head. I see this being one of those games. I see the Vikings capitalizing on his mistakes this week. I may be wrong but I haven't done the Lambeau Leap yet.
Fearless Forecast: 18-33, 185 yards, 1 TD, 4 INT
Chad Johnson WR, Cincinnati Bengals: The Ravens were embarrassed last week at the hands of the Steelers and you can bet they will be out to make a statement this week. The Bengals have been severe underachievers this year and I see "Ocho Cinco" having a bad week.
Fearless Forecast: 4 catches, 65 yards, 0 TD
Edgerrin James RB, Arizona Cardinals: The Lions have been a Cinderella story this season. They seem to be doing everything right and their defense has been solid. I see Edge having trouble this weekend and finding the end zone but not having very many yards to show for it.
Fearless Forecast: 17 rushes, 65 yards, 1 TD; 0 catches, 0 yards, 0 TD
Jeremy Shockey TE, New York Giants: The Giants have had a pretty good season so far but the Cowboys are very solid. They gave up 35 to the Giants offense the first time the two teams met but I don't see that this time. Shockey has a quiet day in my opinion.
Fearless Forecast: 4 catches, 38 yards, 0 TD
San Diego Chargers Defense: The Colts score points. They also have a good running back in Joseph Addai. Seeing what Adrian Peterson did last week I think it's safe to say that the Chargers aren't a good pick to start this week.
Fearless Forecast: 1 sack, 0 fumble recovery, 1 INT, 35 points allowed
Sleepers:?
Jon Kitna QB, Detroit Lions: Kitna has been quietly leading the Lions to 2nd place in the NFC North. I see him having a great game this week against the Cardinals. Expect him and Roy Williams to put up some numbers this week.
Fearless Forecast: 22-30, 285 yards, 4 TD, 1 INT
Chris Chambers WR, San Diego Chargers: Fool me once, shame on you…Fool me twice, shame on me. That's my approach this week with "Torture" Chambers. He hasn't done much yet with San Diego but I see him having a good game against Indy this week. If not, it's my own fault.
Fearless Forecast: 6 catches, 95 yards, 1 TD
Justin Fargas RB, Oakland Raiders: Fargas had another big game last weekend and I don't know what is happening with him and LaMont Jordan but he might be worth the pickup.
Fearless Forecast: (if starter) 20 rushes, 109 yards, 1 TD; 2 catches, 23 yards, 0 TD ?
Desmond Clark TE, Chicago Bears: The Raiders and Bears game shouldn't produce very much offense but look for Desmond Clark to get some looks. He may not get very many yards but I think he'll find the end zone.
Fearless Forecast: 5 catches, 68 yards, 2 TD
Detroit Lions Defense: The Lions defense has been very good this season. If you have a defense on bye they might be worth the waiver add. They face the Cardinals this week and have a chance to put up some nice numbers.
Fearless Forecast: 4 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, 2 INT, 27 points allowed

You always choose awesome players as "studs". pick something less obvious man, your picks suck.

if youre going to choose a bears TE you might want to consider Greg Olsen. He's been the man since Griese took over and there is no reason to think the first rounder wont continue his dominance in the TE rotation for the Bears. (Continued…)

exactly what kyle said ... pick some people who aren't blatantly obvious. the players you pick are in everyone's starting lineup anyway. it's not helping anyone. (Continued…)

Wow.. you're picking Chambers to have a good game? Colts still looked good last week against the Pats, even though they lost. I would like to see Chambers have a good game, since I'm wearing my Chargers jersey to work today as I write this. (Continued…)
