An early morning fire broke out at the Tau Kappa Epsilon house, heavily destroying a majority of the building.

A fire broke out shortly before 3 a.m. Monday morning at the Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) house located at 1238 W. Main Street.

There were no major injuries but one student was treated for a minor hand injury. All students, as well as a dog, escaped the fire.

Ten students were displaced by the fire and Dean of Students Tisa Mason said temporary housing has been made available.

No official cause has been given but early reports indicate it may have been electrical.
