As temperatures begin to plummet and the cold Wisconsin winter is just a few weeks away, off-campus students will soon realize how much they took for granted the comfortable, free-flowing heat in the residence halls. The reality of paying bills in an off-campus house or apartment usually doesn't hit students until December, when the temperatures hover in the single digits and there is no choice but to turn the thermostat up.
