Most students could care less about the inner workings of Whitewater Student Government, and some may not even really know how much power this governing body has. WSG has the power to change many aspects of student life and University policy. If this power is abused, like any administration, it allows for unchecked power, something all students are wary of.
Can you feel it? No, not the dripping on your head from Hyland Hall's "perfectly" designed staircase. Football season is in full swing! Everything seems right with the world again, seeing as Brett Favre threw a pick to lose Minnesota the game versus Pittsburgh (yes, it went through Chester Taylor's hands, but boy did it still feel good), the Bears got smacked around by the Bengals to the same tune that they won Super Bowl XX and the Packers finally played a complete game, granted it was against the Browns.
It has been 2,007 protracted days since former President George W. Bush boldly declared, "mission accomplished," and an end to major combat operations in Iraq. The giant banner was the fuel for a dull man proclaiming that everything was fine, the United States had won the war against terrorism and everything was going to be peachy.
