Keeping it local is the idea behind the beer tent as seven local Wisconsin breweries will be featured at the second annual Taste of Whitewater this weekend at Cravath Lakefront Park.
Alongside Wisconsin favorites, Miller and Leinenkugel's, will be several smaller microbreweries including Capital Brewery from Middleton, Gray's Brewing Company from Janesville, New Glarus Brewing Company from New Glarus, Sprecher Brewing Company from Milwaukee and Tyranena Brewing Company from Lake Mills.
After graduating from UW-Whitewater with a double major in Biology and Chemistry, Wendy Staller went to the University of California-Davis for graduate studies in wine. Many undergraduate students consider this subject as if it were listed in the undergraduate course manual as a mandatory general education credit, right next to beer pong, whiskey shots, and passing out.
As residents drive down the streets of Whitewater in the coming weeks, they will slowly notice the trees changing into their fall colors, shedding leaves that fall to the grass and sidewalks below them.
However, a more exciting display of nature's wooden giants will be available in the Whitewater community Saturday in the form of Fred Scheer's Lumberjack show at the second annual Taste of Whitewater on the Cravath lakefront.
Taste of Whitewater is fast approaching and soon you will be able to find all your favorite foods in one location. The best part is all the great food is priced between one and four dollars.
"If I am totally honest it all started with a dream, my dream of being Bono." This dream of Daniel "Danno" Burrow, lead singer of the U2 tribute band, Elevation, sparked the birth of the dynamic group.` "We're not just a band," Burrow said. "We're a show and we're trying to re-create the feeling of a real U2 concert. We want to make it as authentic as possible."
