Interesting article Evan, however, one point I would wish to take issue with you on this, you said "certain drugs containing opiates.........creating the potential for severe long-term consequences such as addiction and cluster headaches.
The cause of cluster headaches is as yet unknown and as a life long sufferer of CH and a trustee of the charity www.ouchuk.org ,to my knowledge there has never been a suggestion by the many sufferers I have met, and indeed the numerous neurologists I know, that cluster headache could be brought on opiates like codeine.
