Don't believe everything you read or hear. Yes, the state does have a financial problem, but they have always had a financial problem. One thing that they did pass at the state level is a right for UW faculty to unionize, and this is a good thing for now we can fight some of these changes instead of having them dictated to us by the Telfers of the world. Lets cut upper administrative positions! What about the huge administrative salaries? How about even cutting major parts of UW System Administration? Now all of these items should be on the table, even at Whitewater. How about all of the senior and retired faculty members still drawing fat checks along with their retirement loot. How about Telfer's own wife who still draws a nice fat salary, or the large number of staff in the graduate school. Everything should be on the table!!
