Parking tickets are a joke at UWW. Parking should be included with the service (education) we pay too much for. Sure the school would miss out on all their dirty parking money,but it could be gotten back in hundreds of areas.
Five percent pay cut for all administrators on campus, this would probably make up for half of the cuts. Instead of getting ridiculous new computer systems every year, get them every three or even five years. Make students pay for books like most colleges, and then buy them back for half price each year. Don't buy fancy new toys (police vehicles) unless there is a surplus and the item is absolutely necessary (a bike cop could do just as much as one in an all terrain vehicle if half the UWW officers weren't overweight). Raise weight room memberships, it might bring more money and will certainly help allieviate the overcrowding. Take away the stupid housing allowance some staff members get (if you make more than $20,000 you don't need it). Stop stupid construction like when they re-did the wyman mall. Cut dumb positions like the media/marketing people who write the lame press releases (stundents who need the experience could do it for much less and probably better too).And on,and on, and on ...
This is waaay too easy, if an idiot like me can come up with ideas that don't suck to cut the budget and make parking free then surely the highly talented and bright idiots running this school can come up with even better ideas.
