Vikings look at Raebel; Packers invite Beaver to minicamp

UW-Whitewater linebacker AJ Raebel has been invited to practice with the Minnesota Vikings' rookie mini camp. He said he will head to the Vikings site on Thursday.

Raebel was born in St. Paul, Minn.

UW-Whitewater running back Justin Beaver has been invited to participate in the Green Bay Packers rookie minicamp Wednesday and Thursday, Beaver said.

Beaver and Raebel were not picked in the 2008 NFL draft, so they are available to sign as a free agent.

Both the Warhawk seniors helped to lead the 2007 UW-Whitewater football team to win a national championship.
